Even through this is one of the Most familiar stories from Scripture, Daniel, now in his mid eighties, serving King Darius the Mede, who was "tricked" by his Setraps ( or Chaldean princes) so that those jealous of Daniel made a huge effort to get rid of Daniel... very similar to the story of Joseph and his brothers. However, in the greatness of God's plan for Daniel, the Lessons we can learn from this whole incident are as applicable today as is was for those 2500 years ago! One thing, amongst other that we can cherish, is that The Lord our God, will not only BE with us in difficult circumstances, He will also help us Through it, and Equip us to come out of it!
