Not unlike many Churches today, the Church in Ephesus, were surrounded by gross materialism, paganism and dark heathenism. To each of the Churches in Asia Minor (Modern day Turkey) Jesus introduce Himself in different ways. To the Church in Ephesus He commend them for the good things they have done, and endured, But then He had to address the issue of them leaving/ forsaken, their First Love. If this would happen to us, the consequences could be devastating...
