Description
The Principle of First Mention is is a guideline that students of Scripture use for studying Scripture. It has to do with the Number One. Jesus as the Son of Man, is the Last Adam, Through Whom our Redemption came... the restoration of what the first Adam in Genesis caused through disobedience the fall of the human race. God is the Supreme creator of everything. He should therefore be number One in our lives, the One whom we love with all our heart, mind, soul and strength. Doctrines are then more fully developed on this foundation, and like wise our Theology and proper interpretation of Scripture are influenced by the Principle or law of first Mention.
